Warehouse Specialist - Secret
Overview :
Warehouse Staff / Transportation individuals perform all functions related to receiving, storing, issuing, inventorying, distributing, and disposing of material, supplies and equipment, including hazardous materiel (i.
e., printer toner, batteries, compressed gases, 1.4-class arms ammunition). Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to picking up and delivering supplies, materiel, and furniture to and from supported locations, supporting office and / or building moves, receiving, storing, issuing, and retrograding Department of Defense (DoD) accountable equipment at other supported locations as directed by DoD.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Verifying materials against receiving documents. Perform inventory counts and item research.
- Noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
- Routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
- Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.
- Removing material from storage and delivering them to the proper locations.
- May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
- May be required to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
- Become proficient in Supply systems.
- Must follow all Safety and occupational health rules.
- Overtime may be required.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.
Education and / or Experience :
- 4 years' experience in an activity involved in the receipt, storage, issue, inventory and care of Government material, supplies and equipment.
- Possession of a High School diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- General working knowledge of the Federal / DoD Supply System, MILSTRIP / MILSTRAP procedures, warehousing, packing and crating, shipping, pick-up and delivery
- Working knowledge and experience of DoD property book procedures including use of Unit Level Logistics System (ULLS S4), Standard Property Book System - Revised (SPBS-R), Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced (PBUSE), Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), Standard army Retail Supply System (SARSS), SAMS-E, Logistics Integrated Warehouse (LIW) and Financial Accounting and Corporate Tracking System (FACTS),
- Ability to safely operate MHE and Mobile Scanning Devices.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with the Statement of Work (SOW) requirements.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :
Valid and current U.S. Driver's license (REQUIRED)
Valid and current commercial driver's license (CDL); CDL-A endorsement DESIRED; CDL-B endorsement PREFFERED.
Trained and certified to operate various types of Material Handling Equipment (PREFERRED)
Personnel assigned to the Delivery / Re-utilization section must be knowledgeable of DoD, federal, state, and District of Columbia Department of Transportation rules and regulations.
Personnel assigned to this section must : possess and maintain an adequate mix of Commercial Driver's Licenses and standard licenses to support local and long-haul deliveries and re-locations;
possess and maintain an adequate number of HAZMAT certifications to support movement of I.4-class ammunition and hazardous material for both local and long haul deliveries.
Security Clearance :
Candidate must have at a minimum a SECRET level (Tier 3 investigation type or a reciprocal equivalent ).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government TOP SECRET (Tier 5 investigation type) clearance.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain (DIA) SCI access, which requires the successful completion of a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
- Must be able to maintain the required Security Clearance / access approval for the duration of employment.
