Title : Maintenance Coating, Linings, and Insulation Technologist
Location : Plaquemine, LA (primary) and St. Gabriel, LA (secondary) Salary : $99,000 - $115,000
Schedule : 4 / 10 or 9 / 80
Focus : The Maintenance Coating, Linings, and Insulation Technologist is responsible for rendering quality assurance inspection services and providing recommendations regarding the application, maintenance, and improvement of various coatings, fireproofing, linings, and insulation.
This role will use Olin Global Standards and EMETLs to write specifications, perform corrosion assessments, prepare bid packages, and select skilled crafts to deliver repairs and replacements at the Plaquemine, LA and St.
Gabriel, LA sites. Additionally, the Coating, Linings, and Insulation Technologist provides evaluation of equipment failures with potential root causes as well as input on equipment maintenance strategies.
Coating, Linings, and Insulation Technologist Essential Job Functions :
- Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various process equipment.
- Leads and oversees all onsite and offsite equipment repairs, replacements, and part refurbishments.
- Assists with developing and defining annual work scopes that adhere to budgetary guidelines.
- Creates, maintains, and prioritizes daily maintenance jobs.
- Owns, develops, and updates applicable procedures.
Coating, Linings, and Insulation Technologist Minimum Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years of technical training* in coatings, linings, insulation, and mechanical related discipline preferred
- 5 years of relevant experience required
- 10 years of chemical, paper and pulp, or refinery experience strongly preferred
- NACE1 and NACE2 certification credentials required
- Working knowledge of SSPC systems and specifications
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.
