THE ROLE: VP CREATIVE
We are on the hunt for a super talented, strategic and highly collaborative creative visionary to lead our Creative Team as our VP of Creative. Reporting to the CMO, this role is responsible for driving the global creative strategic vision for our brand and build-out a multi-year strategy to scale our brand voice. You will be responsible for every creative expression of our brand—from packaging and in-store marketing to seasonal and yearly campaigns. You will inspire your team and external partners toward a common vision, resulting in break-through creative execution that flawlessly delivers on business objectives. The VP Creative role also carries with it the incredible opportunity and responsibility to co-create OLLY's innovation pipeline. You will partner very closely with our Brand and Product Teams (collectively the "Triad") to identify new innovation opportunities and use your creative chops to help bring these to life to fill the pipeline for future OLLY growth. You will also work closely with our Marketing Team to plan and deliver disruptive, 360 campaigns that transcend successfully across channels. As a member of the LT you will have the opportunity to bring a creative voice and influence to all aspects of our business and culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement a clear, multi-year creative vision
- Drive creative cohesion across all brand touch points - including packaging, marketing campaigns and sales assets
- Constantly iterate, improve and evolve creative assets to deliver on business objectives and long-term company vision
- Lead creative RFPs and build relationships with best-in-class external agencies and partners
- Scale a high-performing Creative Team by building-out internal infrastructure, tools and capabilities
- Create the global brand vision, partnering with international teams to localize to individual market requirements
- Partner with Brand & Product to drive blue sky innovation and break-through product launches
- Partner with Marketing to create dynamic, disruptive, 360 campaigns to step-change brand growth
- Partner with VP Sales CMO for strategic customer meetings to drive key initiatives and pitch new innovation
- Represent the Creative POV in all Leadership Team discussions, ensuring design remains core to the brand DNA
- Partner with CLT to establish budgets and ensure execution of all projects stay within budget
- Review work, troubleshoot and provide feedback to Creative Team
CAPABILITIES SKILLS REQUIRED
- 15-20 years experience as a Creative executive & people leader, with proven ability to create successful, high performing teams
- An inspiring, visionary leader with the ability to foster a positive environment while cultivating talent and inspiring career growth of the Creative team
- A strong portfolio with an emphasis on disruptive, purpose-driven and high growth CPG brands / Beauty category
- A strong point of view and master of all things design: photography & video concepting, direction and production, graphic design & creative composition, editorial & copy direction, packaging strategy, and retail experience
- Deep understanding of marketing channels with digital expertise (e.g. DTC, email, sms & social media)
- Highly proficient in Adobe CC, Office, G Suite and other industry platforms
- Experience building in-house studios and creating and implementing efficient processes that drive effective collaboration in high growth environments
- Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate and implement a clear, scalable, strategic creative vision
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to rally teams toward a common vision
- Strong business acumen, management and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple high priority initiatives and remain unflappable in a dynamic, deadline driven environment
- Not afraid to roll-up their sleeves and help get the job done, including urgent projects and cross-collaboration with agencies or parent company
- Positive attitude, people-first mentality, zero ego
THE DETAILS
LOCATION: Jackson Square, San Francisco, In-Office 2x/week, WFH 3x/week. Relocation support will be provided for out-of-area candidates.
HOURS: Full Time, Exempt (Salaried)
