What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Material Handler position at Olympia Chimney & Venting?
The Temporary Material Handler moves and stores various materials within the warehouse. Main duties include safely loading and unloading items to/from trucks, shelving and bays; recording inventory statuses and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders.
Essential Functions
· Able to be certified in operation of appropriate material handling equipment, e.g., reach truck and forklift
· Operate material handling equipment safely at all times
· Move product between production areas and warehouse or ground ship
· Proficient with RF guns (product scan and transfer from FG to locations), reach truck and forklift certified
· Lookup inventory in Acumatica as needed
· Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries
· Label every product and placing them accordingly
· Identify and verify product against purchase order
· Keep all material handling equipment in the best condition by regularly inspecting and reporting any problems to maintenance/safety
· Verify product transfers through Acumatica scan transfer module
· Communicate daily issues and pertinent information to Operations Manager or Team Lead as needed.
· May pick-pack and train pick-pack employees
· Other tasks as assigned

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Temperature is varied to the temperature outside due to open doors and garages.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items 50 pounds unassisted. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time Temporary position during the first shift of the workday, normally Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm; may require starting and ending later during busy season.
Travel

Required Education and Experience
· Minimum of a high school education or GED equivalent
· Prior material handling experience and forklift certification, reach truck experience preferred
· Ability to stand for majority of shift
· Great organization and attention to detail
