The warehouse manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing all warehouse operations of the company including purchasing, shipping & receiving, tool management, inventory management, repairs, facilities management, supervision of warehouse staff, and continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and ensure compliance with safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Purchasing of materials and specialty items as needed for electrical projects.
- Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve efficiency and develop and maintain efficient processes and procedures to optimize productivity and minimize costs.
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods, utilizing warehouse management systems to track tools, shipments, and overall warehouse performance.
- Assist with shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and documenting inventory.
- Responsible for all aspects of tool and equipment management, including purchasing new tools as needed, managing tool check-in and check-out processes in the company's tool management system, issuing, and maintaining records of tools issued to electricians, maintenance and repairs of company-owned tools and equipment, and annual inspections.
- Oversee maintenance of company-owned vehicles.
- Coordinate rentals of various equipment such as tools, lifts, Conex boxes, office trailers.
- Purchase and maintain inventory of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and managing their work, including reviewing and approving timecards.
- Set warehouse and team goals and facilitate discussions on potential operating issues and opportunities with the executive team and other team leaders.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical and/or construction.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Forklift experience. Forklift certification preferred.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient in process improvement and implementation of cost-saving measures.
- Ability to lead and manage multiple processes simultaneously.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
