As a Customer Service Cashier under the guidance of the Sales Manager, your primary focus will be to deliver exceptional customer service. Create a warm atmosphere, handle sales transactions, and ensure a smooth sales experience for our customers. Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers courteously and efficiently.
- Operate cash register, process sales transactions, and handle returns and refunds.
- Provide product information and assist with inquiries.
- Answer phones promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain store cleanliness and retail product displays.
- Assist with inventory counts, expiration dates and stay updated on product knowledge.
- Contribute to a positive work environment.
- Complete assigned training and be flexible with shift schedules based on business needs.
- Adapt to additional responsibilities as directed by the Sales Manager to support the efficient operation of the department.
Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions.
- Reliable transportation.
- Maintains a polished and professional appearance.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is preferred.
- Previous retail experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift 30 pounds and handle lightweight equipment. Expected to stand, walk, and reach regularly during shifts.
- Manual dexterity for typing, writing, and using office equipment.
- Good vision and hearing are essential for reading documents and effective communication.
- Clear verbal and written skills for interactions with colleagues, customers, and vendors.
- Ability to handle occasional stress and demanding situations.
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks like data entry and phone duties.
- May encounter hazardous exposures and must follow safety protocols.
- Required to adhere to company dress code policy.
