Position Purpose:
The Nutrition Services Supervisor will, under the direction of the Executive Director of Nutrition Services, be responsible for the development and coordination of special diets, menus, nutrition education, prepares reports as related to state or federal programs, and audits the schools.
Essential Job Performance Responsibilities:
Additional Duties: Performs other related tasks as assigned by supervisor and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

This position may require the ability to use kitchen equipment such as: commercial blenders, commercial food processors, commercial mixers, commercial slicers, can openers, peelers, knives, scales, and thermometers. Must always comply with OPS's guidelines for equipment use.
Travel: Local travel will be required.

Position Purpose:
The Nutrition Services Supervisor will, under the direction of the Executive Director of Nutrition Services, be responsible for the development and coordination of special diets, menus, nutrition education, prepares reports as related to state or federal programs, and audits the schools.
Essential Job Performance Responsibilities:
- Provides support and training to school staff to ensure planned menus are followed and meal requirements are consistently met.
- Responsible for creating, planning, and designing the menu plans, analyzing menus for meeting federal guidelines, and the development of special diets. Maintains required federal records and participates in federal, state and district audits by visiting school kitchens.
- Posts the menus using electronic software and Microsoft office.
- Communicates with families and district staff regarding special diets and menus.
- Assists in recipe development, tracking ingredients and collecting food labels.
- Responsible for the training and coordination of the Early Childhood program.
- Designs and implements nutrition education programs and presentations for students.
Additional Duties: Performs other related tasks as assigned by supervisor and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of Registered Dietician, Dietician or Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in food service management/supervisory experience, preferred.
- Bilingual language skills, preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of job related areas of food production, laws, guidelines and procedures.
- Strong computer skills using applicable programs - Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint.
- Excellent organization and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects with strong attention to detail, set priorities and meet deadlines and schedules.
- Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with staff in diverse multicultural work environments.
- The skills pertinent to positive human relationships and the ability to work effectively with all staff, students, parents, administrators, and the community.
