OMBRA is now hiring bartenders!
The bar is an engine, and a bartender is the engineer. The bartender is a lot of things to different people, serving as a basic source of information. The bar being a shared space, the bartender must be intuitive and observant. Everybody loves a “patrolling” bartender; make your rounds with a wary eye.
This is a position that will allow you to showcase your abilities behind the bar!
If you have experience bartending in a fast-paced, restaurant environment and if you have a passion for hospitality - we would love to work with you!
It is required that all Bartenders have in-depth knowledge of all ingredients, producers, and preparation methods for every menu item. You will also be required to understand and recommend our wine selections, beer and signature cocktails. You must be able to comfortably communicate answers to all food and beverage questions.
Weekend availability is required. Open availability is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests or service bars.
- Maintain all cocktail ingredient preparations.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Always ensure the highest level of cleanliness and organization.
- Ensure guests feel welcome by greeting them in a warm and genuine way.
- Promote teamwork within the restaurant, creating a positive work environment.
- Be consistent in providing attentive service that exceeds guest expectations.
- Maintain complete knowledge of food and beverage menus and their ingredients.
- Receive orders and process payments.
- Be creative with your recommendations, using suggestive selling where appropriate.
- Follow all relevant brand standards for service.
