Program Coordinator (Non-IT with Healthcare Experience) - REMOTE (PST)

 

We are looking to hire a candidate with the skill sets mentioned and experience for one of our major clients within the Health Insurance industry. This position is 100% REMOTE. This is a 6-month contract with potential for extension. 


*The Position will be fully remote and will accept candidates located anywhere in the US. The schedule will be M-F 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 8:30 am to 5:30 pm PST time zone but can be flexible with hours. Candidates in the Pacific Time – California hours will be highly preferred.


Position Summary/Responsibilities:


Provides general administrative support that includes routine document preparation, file management, scheduling/arranging meetings, arranging travel, and ordering office supplies. May also perform a variety of activities in support of the functional processes, programs, and/or services.

  • Assists in planning, organizing, and promoting program activities.
  • Retrieves and disseminates data from a variety of sources to comply with financial, legal, and/or administrative requirements related to the program(s).
  • Serves as the liaison and point of contact between the program functional area and the business.
  • Identifies and reports program operational issues and requests resources to management.
  • Maintains program compliance with respective government and regulatory agencies.
  • Also provides the administration of various programs, projects, and assignments aligned with functional processes and services.
  • Work may involve the design and development of program components, coordination of work effort across third-party vendors or internal staff to execute against program requirements, development and monitoring of program/project metrics, and ongoing process improvement.
  • May conduct training, and prepare budgeting, project scheduling, and statistical reports as required. Examples include, but are not limited to fleet/safety administration, travel services administration, employee assistance program administration, etc.


Required Skills/Experience/Education:


  • 3 - 5 years of experience.
  • Microsoft Office – Excel knowledge required.
  • Healthcare background highly preferred.
  • Medi-Cal experience is highly preferred. 
  • Experience with Service Providers and Prior Authorizations.
  • Experience reviewing and processing member referrals for state-mandated programs.
  • Clinical Experience preferred but not required.
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Provided Equipment: This position will require a laptop, keyboard, mouse, and headset.


Other job specifications:


  • Employment Type: Contract to Hire (CTH), W2 only. NO C2C.
  • Contracting Period: 6-month contracting opportunity with the potential for extension and/or permanent employment.
  • Job Location: 100% REMOTE.
  • The Schedule: Will be M-F 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 8:30 am to 5:30 pm PST time zone but can be flexible with hours. Candidates in the Pacific Time – California hours will be highly preferred.
  • Contract Rate/Salary: $22/hr. on W2.
