Position: EHS Specialist - Renewable Energy (Contractor)

Location: 100% travel required throughout the US

Contract Type: 1099 Contractor (Long-term)

We seek a highly qualified EHS Specialist with experience in the renewable energy industry to join our team as a long-term contractor. The EHS Specialist will oversee and implement various safety programs, conduct incident investigations, manage site personnel, and ensure compliance with EHS regulations. This position requires 100% travel

throughout the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and implement safety programs related to Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, and Lockout/Tag out (LOTO).
  • Conduct incident investigations and create Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.
  • Manage site personnel and ensure EHS compliance with different contractors and companies.
  • Preferred: Have three or more years of Wind Industry Experience.
  • Preferred: Previous experience in business management.
  • Optional: Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of full-time field construction EHS or general industry EHS experience.Must meet one of the following requirements:

College degree in occupational safety and health Certification by BCSP highly recommended.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, and Lockout/Tag out (LOTO).
  • Previous experience in incident investigation and RCA creation.
  • Experience managing sites and personnel from an EHS standpoint.
  • Preferred: Wind Industry Experience.
  • Preferred: Business Management Experience.Certifications and Training:
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications (within 2 years).
  • Tower Rescue Training - TSL SRK-11/Spark Kit/Tractel (annual requirement).
  • One-week 1X/2X LOTO training from the RELC.
  • Must be able to climb wind turbines and perform hub entries frequently.

This is a long-term contractor position (1099) with 100% travel throughout the United States. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Pay: $60.00 - $64.00 per hour
