Position: EHS Specialist - Renewable Energy (Contractor)

We seek a highly qualified EHS Specialist with experience in the renewable energy industry to join our team as a long-term contractor. The EHS Specialist will oversee and implement various safety programs, conduct incident investigations, manage site personnel, and ensure compliance with EHS regulations. This position requires 100% travel
throughout the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and implement safety programs related to Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, and Lockout/Tag out (LOTO).
- Conduct incident investigations and create Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.
- Manage site personnel and ensure EHS compliance with different contractors and companies.
- Preferred: Have three or more years of Wind Industry Experience.
- Preferred: Previous experience in business management.
- Optional: Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of full-time field construction EHS or general industry EHS experience.Must meet one of the following requirements:
College degree in occupational safety and health Certification by BCSP highly recommended.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, and Lockout/Tag out (LOTO).
- Previous experience in incident investigation and RCA creation.
- Experience managing sites and personnel from an EHS standpoint.
- Preferred: Wind Industry Experience.
- Preferred: Business Management Experience.Certifications and Training:
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications (within 2 years).
- Tower Rescue Training - TSL SRK-11/Spark Kit/Tractel (annual requirement).
- One-week 1X/2X LOTO training from the RELC.
- Must be able to climb wind turbines and perform hub entries frequently.
This is a long-term contractor position (1099) with 100% travel throughout the United States. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
