Hybrid Compliance Specialist

Conducting audits of compliance controls, as out line in the departmental audit work plan and as required.

Supports department by collecting and coordinating internal compliance data with auditors and various departments.

Responsible for ongoing investigation, documentation, and remedial actions related to HIPAA breach reports.

Manages current processes and programs, coordinates communications with all involved, collects data, and reports results specifically concentrating on Privacy Program, Corporate Compliance, and Training & Education.

Provides coordination and project management support for initiatives under departmental purview and implementations by following up on deliverables, and ongoing operational monitoring of new initiatives.

Manages OOMC Learning Management System (LMS) and coordinates mandatory training assignments.

Develops and delivers periodic reports of Compliance and Privacy initiatives to CCO and others as directed by the CCO.

Researches and prepares drafts of policies and procedures.

Drafts monthly compliance communications to staff on topics of compliance, risk, controls, privacy, etc.

Provides system support and training, as appropriate and needed on HealthStream, Sanction Screening, Navex EthicsPoint, & PolicyTech, et al.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree

Required

Master’s Degree in healthcare related fields.

Preferred

Three years of experience in healthcare or academic setting

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Navex (EthicsPoint, PolicyTech), HealthStream LMS

Ability to work with a variety of database systems

Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Demonstrated capacity to work independently in an organized, detailed manner while maintaining a collaborative team environment is required

Ability to think abstractly and concretely required

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills is required

Experience in handling complex organizational projects; and an excellent problem identification and solution skill to address difficult, complex issues is required
