About the Position:
The Construction Financial Analyst will be instrumental in preparing, analyzing, and maintaining financial and construction data, developing ad hoc analysis, and creating reports to support strategic decision-making. This candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the financial performance, identify trends, and drive operational efficiencies. The primary focus of the role will be on construction related data and systems, including pre-construction analysis, construction monitoring and post-construction review. This is a hybrid, full-time opportunity that reports to our Mason, OH office.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Generally, support the Construction Team.
- Perform pre-construction analysis of critical due diligence items relating to site work, design plans and specifications, construction schedules, and budgets.
- Engage and evaluate third-party Construction Plans and Cost Reviews
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of software/databases to facilitate proper accounting and analysis.
- Analyze and identify key strengths, weaknesses, and perceived risks associated with each proposed and on-going project.
- Prepare and present detailed construction analysis to department leaders.
- Enter and track property-specific construction data into Omni Fiber's integrated web-based software.
- Collaborate closely with other departments within Omni Fiber.
- Assist with all aspects of the Purchase Order and Payment processes.
- Act as the point of contact between the Accounts Payable Team and the Construction Management Teams.
- Work with Construction Vendors to review invoices and obtain proper support and documentation.
- Complete general administrative and special financial project work as needed or required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, accounting or another quantitative field, or equivalent experience
- 1-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, consulting or a related function, or an advanced degree.
- Ability to work with data to produce analysis, influencing decision making with numerical analysis and generating insights.
- Knowledge of construction operations and design is required
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, attention to detail and ability to draw conclusions.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize/multi-task while providing accurate, on-time deliverables.
- Exhibit professionalism, high ethics, and a team philosophy in one's work.
- Must be able to commute to our Mason, OH office
- Occasional travel to remote offices and/or construction sites may be required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
