Set to open in the Spring of 2023, Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU will amplify Tempe's revitalized downtown area and bring some of the largest conference and meeting space to the city. The hotel will feature 330 guest rooms, including 11 suites, four dining outlets, a spacious pool deck, retail, and almost 36,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space with expansive views of the ASU campus and the Tempe cityscape. Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU is seeking a Cook I to join the pre-opening team of our brand-new upscale hotel. Opening in the spring of 2023, Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU will provide Tempe with 330 guest rooms and 36,000 square feet of event space and four new food and beverage outlets. Featuring a rooftop upscale restaurant and the largest ballroom in the area, we expect to provide elevated options for our guests for dining and entertainment.

Works alongside the Chef de cuisine and kitchen supervisor to assist with coordination of all hot and cold foods.
• Must have a good working relation with the culinary team and should be in direct communication constantly to ensure counts, vessels and items are proper.
• Communicate with the Stewarding department on all banquet equipment needed to perform a banquet.
• Conducts daily and weekly standup meetings
• Oversees proper care of and cleanliness of kitchen.

• Culinary experience in a hotel or resort team.
• Completion of culinary degree or certificate program is preferred.
• Candidate must be creative and up to speed on new concepts and food trends.
• Arizona food handlers certified.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility scheduling to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

*This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
