To provide a memorable experience for all guests by exceeding their expectations with a various recreational activities, programs, tours, camps, equipment, and entertainment
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and provide the growth to all recreation's departments: Social Recreation, Group Recreation, Aquatic, Team Building, Nature Activities
- Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotels culture, rules and regulations
- Fully understand and implement "Moments of Service"
- Act as a coach and be a positive role model for associates and colleagues
- Accountable for increasing revenue, controlling expenses and calculating payroll to fit the Omni trilogy
- Promote recreation programs and prices in the resort guide, marketing and other relevant avenues
- Hire, train and coach Recreation Supervisor directly and all associates indirectly
- Inspect recreation area and pools facilities regularly for cleanliness and safely to meet Omni standards
- Monitor and provide timely feedback, counseling, and performance evaluations to associates
- Coordinate/Approve the ordering and purchasing of supplies of all of the recreation departments
- Isolate and analyze areas in need of improvement and take immediate action
- Establish administrative rules and regulations, polices and procedure for the department
- Maintain standards of guest services and consistent positive guest experience as documented by J.D. Power and AAA Ratings
- Participate in daily stand up meetings and act as a Lobby Lizard monthly
- Effectively use the Omni Service Champions program to recognize and reward outstanding customer service
- Attend Omni Service Traditions meeting, Monthly Managers Meeting, Weekly one on one with Department Head, attend monthly walk through of recreation facilities
- Hold weekly department meetings, weekly one on one with each recreation supervisor, monthly Omni Service Traditions meeting and monthly supervisor meetings
- Evaluate associates during their yearly Key Result Area review
- Foster positive relations with internal and external venders
- Assist in all other aspects of the hotel departments as needed
Physical Job Requirements (for essential functions only)
- Valid drivers license
- Able to lift and lift up to 60-100 pounds occasionally and 30-50 pounds repeatedly
- Able to stoop, stand, push, pull and walk or stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to hear, smell, have good or corrected vision and a good sense of balance
- Associate must be able to walk throughout property, communicate verbally to our guests and able to multi task effectively
