Position Overview: Metropolis Freight & Logistics is seeking a highly skilled and reliable individual to join our team as a Super Truck Driver. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods across the city and beyond. Responsibilities:

1. Operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and other specialized equipment, with precision and skill.
2. Safely transport goods to various destinations, adhering to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
3. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the mechanical fitness and safety of the vehicle.
4. Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
5. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and hours of service.
6. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, fellow drivers, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that may arise.
7. Provide exceptional customer service, representing the company in a professional manner at all times.
8. Handle unexpected situations such as adverse weather conditions, traffic delays, or mechanical breakdowns with calmness and efficiency.
9. Demonstrate the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines while prioritizing safety and compliance.

Qualifications:

1. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
2. Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
3. Excellent driving skills, including the ability to maneuver large vehicles in tight spaces and adverse conditions.
4. Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices for cargo security and handling.
5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
6. Physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of long hours behind the wheel.
7. Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
8. A commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Additional certifications or endorsements, such as hazardous materials (HAZMAT) or tanker endorsements.
2. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and electronic logging devices (ELDs).
3. Mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
4. Prior experience in emergency response or crisis management would be advantageous.
