On Line Design is currently looking for a full-time on-site Quality Technician in the greater Cincinnati, OH area. In this role, you will be responsible for improving the quality, cost and reliability of production and manufacturing of existing products that are already in-market by leading more consistent and sustained use of current production processes as well as driving improvements utilizing lean techniques. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience and enjoy hands-on technical work that involves strategy and planning to be successful, such as home improvement projects. To do this role you will need some experience working within a quality and engineering role before and be familiar with mechanical/product designs.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee multiple product lines, while creating and maintaining schedules to ensure deliverables are reasonable for the project and sales execution.
· Implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate the reliability of manufacturing processes, products, and production equipment that will drive quality improvement and meet and improve quality standards.
· Perform the appropriate physical testing on engineering prototypes; establish full-production test methods for suppliers and assembly team.
· Create the necessary documents to help ensure the manufacturing and assembly process is consistent to meet customer quality standards.
· Assists and actively participates in managing day-to-day activities on the floor to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
· Supports the development and implementation of custom and new products.
· Follow company policies, core values, safety/quality procedures, and standards
Desired Experience:
· 2-4 years of experience as a Quality Technician, with an Associates or Bachelors Degree in Engineering is preferred
· 2 years or more of experience working in Quality and Inspection of products
· Strong understanding of test equipment.
· A keen eye for detail and a results driven approach.
· Ability to read/create engineering schematics and material specifications.
· Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios and proportions.
· A strong knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office is required with proficiency in Navision a plus.
· Valid Driver’s License
· Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that varies in temperature depending on weather conditions and lift up to 50lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
