As a Teller at One Florida Bank, you will provide professional, quality customer service while performing a variety of banking transactions, promptly and efficiently, in accordance with policies and procedures to include proper approvals, monitoring of cash limits and security.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Receive checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verify amounts, examine checks for proper endorsement, and enter deposits into computer records.
- Cash checks and process withdrawals; pay out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
- Balance cash drawer at the end of the shift and compares totaled amounts to computer-generated proof sheet. Report any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Issue cashier's checks after verification of signatures, customer balances and supervisor approval.
- Process night depository bags and bank-by-mail envelopes and recording proper information.
- Refer leads to platform for deposit products, consumer and mortgage loans, IRAs, certificates of deposit and safe deposit boxes. Receive mortgage, consumer loan and other payments and ensure the payments match balances due. Enter payment into computer. Generate customer receipts.

- Count, check, and package coins and currency.
- Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
- Execute accurate general ledger entries and tickets.
- Ensure the teller station is organized and properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.
- Report malfunctions of teller terminals and equipment used at the teller station.
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate employees.
- Comply with all regulations pertaining to BSA, USA PATRIOT ACT, AND OFAC requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum six months of prior teller experience
- Good customer services and communication skills
- Good interpersonal communication and computer skills
- Good attention to detail
