Scheduler Responsibilities:
As the Scheduler, you will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and processing patient surgery cases, maintaining master physician schedules and scheduling appointments for patients following medical practice procedures. You are responsible for maintaining the scheduling systems, so records are accurate and complete and providing daily schedules to physicians or medical assistants prior to each days visit. Other duties in this role can include using customer service techniques to deal with patients in a calm and pleasant manner, obtain pre-certifications and any prequalifying information, and assist in any other jobs as assigned by the Practice Manager.

Scheduler Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED required
- Previous medical office experience required
- CPR certification through AHA preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology knowledge preferred
- Minimum computer competency preferred and/or ability to be trained
- Maintain standards of professionalism during periods of fluctuating workloads
At GHP we require the employee to be able to perform the duties of this job including opening filing cabinets, ability to sit for long periods of time, and lifting office products up to 20 lbs. This position requires movement including daily standing, sitting, and bending as well as motor coordination, visual acuity, and eye-hand coordination. The employee should be flexible; patient focused, show initiative, as well as maintains a high standard of confidentiality. The candidate for this position must have computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office and must be able to effectively communicate with others both verbally and in writing. Candidate must have working knowledge or previous experience with phone systems, computer programs, and medical charts.
