JOB DESCRIPTION
The Onboarding and Training Specialist will collaborate with the AZ Executive Director of Administration and the HR Support Staff and will report directly to the Senior Director of Corporate Training & Behavioral (CTBS) to plan and implement employee onboarding, in-service training, and team cohesion processes. The long-term goal of providing all OSBI employees opportunities for continuous job performance, improvement and a collaborative and productive workplace culture. Overall, this position is responsible for assisting the CTBS in training and onboarding new staff as well as implementing ways to innovatively provide services that enrich the lives of program participants/members and realizing the Mission of OSBI Programs and Services.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Associates or higher preferred.
· Bilingual preferred.
· Preferred 3 years working experience with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities or a similar vulnerable population.
· Proficiency in MS Office and basic Cloud-Computing operations (e.g., Box.com). Project management tools such as Asana, Jira, or similar project management tools preferred.
· Strong organizational and due diligence skills.
· Strong attention to detail required.
· Knowledge of DDD and State regulations preferred.
· CPR and First Aid Trainer certificates preferred.
· Appropriate certifications and clearance according to DDD State Regulations.
· Good driving record must pass MVR.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Some admin forms and certification documentation.
· Ability to perform training via zoom and teams
· Assist in the delivery of effective and engaging First Aid and CPR Trainings to staff and non-OSBI (external) customers, per the CTBS direction.
· Monitor sign-ups, coordinate payment with Accounting Dept., and schedule trainings for all OSBI and non-OSBI training participants and fulfill all administrative actions (e.g., certification documents) under the CTBS direction.
· Assist the CTBS with implementation of an effective and responsive onboarding training procedure and curriculum in collaboration with the Human Resources Department and the Executive and Leadership Teams, as well as providing ongoing resources and oversight to ensure procedures and curriculum achieve desired outcomes for employee job preparedness and successful performance.
· Assist in implementing a program participant/member orientation process to be included in new employee onboarding and annual employee recertification that are in alignment with government vendor contract compliance directives.
· Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
· Respond promptly and diligently to all internal/external requests.
· Project a pleasant, helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and capable image consistent with the OSBI mission.
· Create Excel spread sheets to track attendance, paid trainings, and other training events.
General Weekly Schedule
Your supervisor will ultimately control your day-to-day duties and assignments; but the following guideline-goals should generally be met each week.
· 1-2 days: Update & collaborate on training materials to ensure consistent trainings for staff (new & existing/re-train) comprehension
· 1-5 days: Classroom style trainings (and support) for OSBI organizational overview, member orientation, CPR/First aid, article 9, Abuse & Neglect, Prevention & support
· Some Saturdays are required based on need to support CTBS
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.25 per hour
