Billing Specialist l
Overview/Position Summary
Serves as the billing facilitator for internal and external Bay Area clients. Tracks and maintains labor records to insure proper credit to the appropriate departments. Provides financial information to appropriate management and Finance.
Responsibilities:
- Tracks internal labor costs in Hedberg and Empact IT billing database.
- Verify scheduled orders and projects against field hours submitted that have been verified by Payroll
- Update labor line vendor and processing codes as part of the Billing close out process
- Verify product line close out
- Enter project budget total information onto spreadsheet report
- Process change orders and cancellation costs. Ensure order close out complication
- Daily tracking of project hours totals and enter accruals report
- Assist with monthly audit – labor line and product line reports through Matrix for Business to ensure proper close out.
- Performs other billing and Operational tasks along with providing support as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience
Associate’s (A.A.) Degree from a two-year college or university; or 1-2 years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; prior knowledge of office furniture a plus; thorough knowledge of systems products a plus.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Basic level of knowledge of scheduling software and/or ability to quickly master internal computer operating systems
- Strong customer service skills with ability to provide friendly, professional service to One Workplace staff and clients
- Strong attention to detail
- Intermate ability to analyze and problem solve
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work in deadline driven industry with minimal supervision
- Basic reading and writing skills

Working Environment
Regularly works with a team and may work alone at times. This a remote position with in office work as needed.
