Job Summary :
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate driver to join our team. The Driver will be responsible for safely transporting children with special needs to and from our PPEC facility ensuring their safety and wellbeing throughout the journey.
This role requires patience attentiveness and a strong commitment to providing excellent care and service.
Responsibilities :
- Safely transport children with special needs to and from the medical day care facility.
- Assist children in and out of the vehicle ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Secure wheelchairs car seats and other mobility devices properly within the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate records of pickups and dropoffs.
- Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Report any mechanical issues or necessary repairs promptly.
- Keep the vehicle clean and sanitized following hygiene and safety protocols.
- Maintain clear communication with PPEC staff parents and guardians regarding transportation schedules.
- Handle emergencies or incidents calmly and effectively reporting any concerns as necessary.
- Follow all PPEC policies and procedures including safety protocols and confidentiality guidelines.
- Complete required training and certifications including CPR and first aid as necessary.
Requirements
- Valid driver s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a similar role preferably in a healthcare or child care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience empathy and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
- May be required to work early mornings evenings and weekends based on transportation schedules.

Valid driver s license with a clean driving record. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or child care setting.
