Verizon is seeking an IT Vendor Performance Manager to oversee vendor performance metrics and governance for key IT services providers for the CIO and leaders of Verizon’s Corporate Systems Group. The Vendor Performance Manager also supports vendor transition strategy plans. The ideal candidate will optimize resource utilization of application development and maintenance through clear and efficient governance and timely reporting and analysis of vendor success measures and key Service Level Agreement metrics. The candidate leverages the data and relationships with the workstream teams to provide timely and actionable insights into the portfolio and the vendor's performance, and collaborates and builds trust with cross-functional teams while balancing competing priorities. Through value-focused portfolio management, collaborative governance and strong stakeholder management, the candidate will ensure that Verizon gets both the quality of service delivery and cooperation from the external and internal leads to optimize the business value from this relationship. The ideal candidate will be able to provide clear, concise executive summaries and effectively lead and provide feedback and insights on executive vendor performance reviews.
- Lead, develop, coordinate, integrate, analyze, and maintain integrated plans and schedules for complex ADMS vendor transition programs and change driven activities.
- Partner with business teams on vendor contracts, in conjunction with procurement/sourcing, to include relevant legal terms, business case, SLA/KPIs, spend, etc.
- Responsible for benchmarking industry landscape and standards as well as driving Best Practices to ensure performance expectations are meeting and/or exceeding scorecard goals on all KPI's.
- Perform analytic reviews and assessments on all assigned vendors and present the results to Business Unit Management and all internal and external examiners.
- Manage all Service Level Agreements for Vendor performance along with all performance governance.
- As part of governance, ensure all legal and compliance requirements are fulfilled for all CSG workforce; internal and external third party vendors.
- Manage the demand prioritization and results reporting process across various internal workstreams to report on the delivery and budget performance as well as the alignment to business priorities.
- Manage working relationships with key vendor contacts to ensure transparency and integrity of the reporting and approval of the deliverables.
- Lead recurring vendor and Verizon meetings and manage the risks, issues and action items for resolution.
- Ensure business priorities and performance management are integrated throughout the process.
- Support occasional project audits.
- Partner with the Vendor intake and processing team to ensure timely vendor onboarding of new initiatives and change requests or extensions to align with business priorities.
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- A degree.
- Experience with industry standards and benchmarking of IT vendor performance .
- Experience in managing the performance of enterprise-level IT vendor agreements including experience with sourcing, contractual language, service level definition and adherence management.
- Experience in effective relationship management and presentation skills with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Experience in data-driven performance management through scorecards or dashboards.
- Experience preparing and presenting executive level summaries and concise, clear communication .
- Self-starter and intentional in your time management.
- Experience in Microsoft Office - Microsoft Excel (can perform complex functions) & Google Suite -Google Sheets and analysis tools.
- Experience with Managed Services contracts and strategic sourcing.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, DevOps, SDLC & ITIL frameworks for application development and maintenance.
