Responsibilities:
- Optimize websites for search engines and user experience.
- Run technical SEO audits on websites.
- Implement technical SEO improvements to website architecture, page speed, linking, etc.
- Implement website event tracking with custom code/Google Tag Manager.
- Implement content optimizations on websites, including layout updates (primarily on WordPress but content management systems vary).
- Present technical SEO and content marketing strategies to clients.
- Stay updated on SEO trends and share information with colleagues.
- Manage timelines and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- At least 1-2 years of proven technical SEO experience.
- At least 1-2 years of professional WordPress web development experience (PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, schema markup).
- At least 1-2 years of Google Tag Manager experience.
- Strong understanding of search engine ranking factors and algorithms.
- Familiarity with web caching applications and Core Web Vitals optimization.
- Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills and team collaboration.
Preferred:
- Certifications and/or degrees in a related field.
- Google Analytics certification and GA4 proficiency.
- Experience with Magento, Shopify, or WooCommerce development.
- Google Tag Manager mastery.
- Google Looker Studio experience.
- BigQuery experience for custom reporting purposes.
- UX testing background.
- Flywheel/WP Engine experience.
- Version control system familiarity (Git).
- Object-oriented programming understanding.
- Knowledge of development environments (local, staging, production).
- CD/CI understanding.
