Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and quality of life.
Duties
- Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals under your care
- Monitor and record vital signs as required
- Implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs
- Support individuals with dementia care and memory care
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Engage individuals in social activities and recreational programs
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care, direct support, or patient care preferred
- Knowledge of long-term care practices and assisted living facilities
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors with empathy and patience
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required
