What You'll Do as: Shop Mechanic
- Inspecting and diagnosing mechanical problems with vehicles and equipment
- Operating vehicles and equipment safely
- Using shop equipment such as air buffer, welding torch, and hydraulic lifts
- Performing preventive services on vehicles and equipment
- Mounting, balancing, and repairing tires on vehicles and heavy equipment
Work Experience
Preferred Candidate Might:
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in automotive and heavy equipment mechanics
- Skills to diagnose mechanical problems with vehicles and equipment
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment safely
- Skill in using shop equipment to include air buffer, welding torch and hydraulic lifts
- Prior experience as Mechanic with a Municipality or Service Equipment Company preferred
