What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Support position at OnSite Fleet?
Primary job responsibilities are indicated below and intended to describe the general nature and work responsibilities of the position. Duties are shared with the role of Shipping & Receiving Coordinator. Modifications and/or additions to tasks are subject to change as deemed necessary by business operations.
· Manage and execute maintenance on select vehicles according to service intervals (LOFs – oils changes, tire rotation, etc.).
· Prep new vehicles upon arrival, including removal of PGF and interior plastic, installing floor mats, plates and labels, and general readiness within the specified timeframes.
· Schedule dealer-required repairs/maintenance and transport or arrange for transport of vehicles to/from dealership(s).
· Order vehicle parts and tires.
· Maintain inventory of shop supplies and replenish as needed.
· Conduct inspections of production-level test vehicles going to auction.
· Document and report all damage on incoming and outgoing vehicles immediately; to include photos and detailed description of damage/events that caused damage.
· Lead event readiness activities for ad-hoc request for special events: wash, fuel, clean/detail vehicles.
· Lead camouflage vinyl wrap installation on test vehicles according to strict confidentiality requirements.
· Lead disposal initiatives on consumable assets, i.e., identify, stage, and documentation.
· Assist Shipping & Receiving Coordinator with incoming & outgoing test vehicle deliveries and pick-ups during NTCNA-ATC established business hours. Be available at all times to support transport carriers. Physically receive, inspect, stage, and sign-off on incoming and outgoing test vehicles as needed.
· Assist Shipping & Receiving Coordinator with parking lot management and organization.
· Assist Shipping & Receiving Coordinator with inspection of incoming and outgoing vehicles and complete necessary forms/ inspection reports immediately.
· Assist Shipping & Receiving Coordinator with physically receiving new vehicles from transporter which may include uncrating.
· Assist Shipping & Receiving Coordinator in preparing vehicles for export, including fuel drainage.
· Assist Shipping & Receiving Coordinator with paperwork and key accountability.
· Assist Shipping & Receiving Coordinator with crating and uncrating of vehicles/bodies as needed.
· Assist Shipping & Receiving Coordinator with physical inspections of test vehicles; document and report results (DMSIs).
· Assist Shipping & Receiving Coordinator with coordination of rental vehicle drop-off and pick-up, ensuring awareness of critical timing. Inspect for spec requirements & damage in/out.
· Various shop-related tasks and office projects as delegated by department supervisor.
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
· Have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
· Ability to drive a vehicle with a manual transmission.
· Ability to operate a forklift; Nissan internal testing/certification is required.
· C1 Driver’s Certification; Nissan training provided.
· Maintain a working knowledge of client functions and engineering programs from an operational perspective with critical awareness of changing confidentiality requirements.
· Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
· Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
· Flexible in supporting operation team in various functions as needed.
· Ability to work occasional overtime as workload dictates.
