Warehouse/Shipping Lead 2nd shift

The Shipping Lead is one of the primary leaders for shipping employees, ensuring that finished goods are retrieved from production, stored, and loaded for outbound shipments. Other responsibilities include managing inventory of finished goods as well as packaging supplies, and supporting other business functions as required

The primary objective of a shipping lead is to ensure every shipment departs on time and in good order. This position monitors and oversees outgoing shipping, picking, and storage activities including inventory to verify items are proccessing through to the correct location and in good condition. They make sure weights are correctly posted, that correct charges are applied, and that shipments are moved from shipping points to storage areas, and also resolve issues with shipping orders.

Leadership and supervision of shipping employees across all assigned shift(s).

Ensure shipping employees perform job responsibilities correctly and safely, with a focus on scanning accuracy.

Ensure all shipping documents are created and maintained accurately. This includes BOLs, hold tags and associated documents.

Perform inventory cycle counts in the Finished Goods Warehouse and Packaging Warehouse. Correct and follow-up on any inventory discrepancies in these areas. Maintain inventory accuracy above 98% forExperience: 4 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience in operating material handling equipment preferred

BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business, Management, or Logistics; or equivalent experience with high school diploma/equivalency

A minimum of 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role in manufacturing preferred

Proficient with MS Office suite

Forklift driving experience acquire or maintain forklift license on required equipment

Strong sense of urgency & attention to detail

Excellent organization, communication and follow-up skills

Able to influence others & manage conflict

Ability to self-direct and take constructive action in ambiguous situations

Extremely high standards of excellence

Excellent Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook

SAP experience preferred; SAP EWMS experience highly desired or other WMS systems (AS400, Synapse, Manhattan)

Must be able to work well in a team

Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials

Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software

Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
