RF Design Engineer

Ontivity is seeking a well qualified RF Design Engineer to join our highly experienced in-house design department. This position will generate RF designs for Mobile networks serving legacy, LTE and future 5G systems. The role can travel to or work at one of our many offices across the US.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and attend scoping, progress and completion meetings in-person and remotely as required
• Analyze RF design requirements, plan design workload and manage deliverables and timelines
• Communicate and meet design lifecycle timelines and expectations
• Plan, execute and successfully close out site surveys to gather relevant design details onsite
• Collect, organize and manage all design-related data within company databases and repositories including
  • RF Benchmark Data
  • Site Survey Collection Information
  • Design Notes and scope tracking
  • Project timelines and all deliverables
• Support other functional groups with respect to designs and planning

Job qualifications

• 2-5 years relevant and progressive experience in In-Building Wireless RF systems design, deployment, commissioning, or testing
• Experience in client and venue interaction and management
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage, prioritize and evaluate multiple concurrent tasks
• Experience in the following RF toolsets: iBwave (required), Atoll (preferred), Other RF design software suites
• Strong proficiency in LTE and 5GNR Protocols, KPIs and parameters
• Strong proficiency in fiber fundamentals from a design perspective (both ISP and OSP)
• Strong proficiency in fundamental RF engineering practices
• Strong mathematics background, specifically with relevant proficiency in dB math
• Project Management experience preferred
• Certifications in DAS commissioning and/or test equipment preferred

• Deep troubleshooting capability preferred

Educational Experience

B.S.E.E or equivalent degree with 2-5 years relevant experience or 6-8 years related experience in RF Engineering, preferably in mobile telecommunications
