We’re looking to hire a Technical Program Manager for an entertainment media client. The Technical Program Manager manages small to large-scale, complex projects from initiation through post-launch. This role involves daily hands-on management of technology activities, utilizing Agile and Scrum software development practices, and collaborating with technical teams to deliver business solutions. Strong leadership, technical project management experience, and excellent communication skills are essential. This role requires managing projects using the client’s technology processes, tools, and methodologies, including scope of work development and time, cost, risk, and communication management.
This is a position until January 2026. The role is 3-4 days in-office in Glendale, CA.

Pay rate: $75-80/hr
Technical Program Manager Responsibilities:
- Drive execution and delivery of multiple technical product or software development projects from start to finish.
- Implement Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies.
- Use industry-standard project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Develop team dynamics, morale, and motivation while fostering a culture of respect for all members and viewpoints.
- Identify project risks, analyze and communicate prioritized mitigation plans, and anticipate problems and roadblocks.
- Develop and lead project plans comprising complex activities and dependencies.
- Provide status updates and project summaries via presentations, email, and direct communication with collaborators and leadership.
- Deliver precise and accurate verbal explanations of status and technical issues.
- Work with project partners to define project scope and objectives, effectively communicating requirements to development teams.
- Lead effective meetings, keep teams on track, document decisions, and follow up.
- Take initiative, proactively approach tasks, and initiate conversations.
- Skillfully negotiate and identify solution paths for various conflicting requirements or partner preferences.
- Constantly evaluate processes and seek improvements with every iteration.
Technical Program Manager Requirements:
- 7 years of technical project management experience working directly with engineers.
- Expertise in Agile software development, particularly with Scrum methodology and practices.
- Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts.
- Proficiency in modern program management, analysis, tracking, and reporting tools such as Jira/Confluence, Airtable, G-Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides), and MS Office.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with the software development lifecycle.
- CSM / CSP Certification or similar preferred.
- Experience in software and internal tooling technology is preferred.
- Technical proficiency, such as coding skills, quality assurance experience, or technical writing background, is preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in science, technology, engineering, or math is required.
