Onyx Point is looking to bring an experienced Linux System Administrator (5 years experience with degree, and 10 years experience without degree) to support our government customer in Ft. Meade, Maryland!

REQUIRED SKILLS
Candidates will have experience managing high end Linux servers, preferably with an HPC background. However, candidates will be reviewed that can demonstrate a knowledge of managing a single or multiple Linux systems. A knowledge of RHEL, or SUSE Linux preferred, along with experience with provisioning and configuration management tools such as cobbler, puppet, Ansible. Knowledge of HPE tools are a plus. TS/SCI w/ FS Poly clearance required.

REQUIRED TASKS
Candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining a one of the fastest high performance computing systems in production. Daily activities include, monitoring system health, resolving open issues and tickets, interacting with both customers and peers utilizing the HPC system. Further, a knowledge of resolving software issues and able to perform both system and application upgrades is essential.
