About the Georgetown neighborhood The ethos of Georgetown is blue collar, single res occupancy apartments, tattoos, and counterculture. It is a little lawless, a little Bourbon Street and a little bad kid. The neighbors are proud. They respect hard work and like to hang out on the street together to catch up.Like the East Village in NY, the Tenderloin in SF and the Marais in Paris, these micro- neighborhoods are interesting because they retain and honor their roots. People visit these neighborhoods to be immersed in their unique energy. It is about individual expression, and specific people with unique passions and drives.
