What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabricator position at OP SourceStaffing.?
We are currently seeking Fabricators!
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Reads and interprets blueprints, capable of structural layout, Layout I-beams, columns, flanges, and other material, safely operate overhead cranes, welding machine, and various hand tools.
- Assembly of components with some fabrication of equipment needed for the job with no supervision.
- Primarily fabricates and/or assembles guards, platforms, and any other structure required.
- Uses metal core MIG, flux core, sub-arc, or stick welding process (must pass GMAW metal and flux core test)
- Ability to pass applicable tests and applicable Non-Destructive Exams.
- May weld brackets, and braces and use grinders. May perform welds on code materials. Quality of weld is sufficient to pass X-ray, Phased Array, and ultrasound test welds with minimum rework.
- Proficient in flame and plasma cutting torches and automated equipment. Must be able to operate basic cutting equipment.
- Promotes and supports safety, production, and a positive attitude. Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department.
