Starting Pay Based on Experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Support individuals in participating in community activities and social events
- Implement individualized care plans and document progress
- Monitor and report any changes in individuals' physical or emotional well-being
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, program managers, and therapists
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Familiarity with nursing home or assisted living settings is a plus
- Knowledge of working with people with developmental disabilities and understanding their unique needs
- Experience providing direct support and assistance to individuals in a caring and compassionate manner
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals using proper body mechanics and assistive devices if necessary
- Familiarity with medical systems and procedures, including first aid
