Go Developer

Position Description: We are seeking a skilled Go Developer with experience in working with Google Cloud Platform and services. As a Go Developer with Google API experience, you will be responsible for developing code and services that meet the unique needs of a large government contract. You will work closely with a team of other developers, system owners, and project managers to deliver software for unique government needs, especially around Google Workspaces/G-Suite products.

Location: DC Metro Area with Full-Time Telework Available

General Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain using Go source code that interfaces with various Google APIs.
• Work with the team to identify, design, and implement scalable, reliable, and secure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Perform operations and maintenance work on existing systems and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Work as a part of a larger team of developers adapting and evolving best practices across many other development platforms. 
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows best practices and coding standards.
• Develop and maintain unit tests and integration tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the software.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
• Learn and stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in Go programming and Google Cloud Platform. 

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Go programming language.
• Experience with Google APIs, such as Google Drive API, Google Sheets API, Google Calendar API, or Google Maps API.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and RESTful API design.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
