OPEXUS, a GovTech software company for 30 years, is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead multiple SDLC project teams implementing and operating COTS web applications for Government customers. This key role requires exemplary communication skills to partner with customers and internal stakeholders, including business analysts and developers, to facilitate the timeline and understand technical aspects of multiple implementations.   
The Sr. Project Manager will focus on implementation of our FOIAXpress (Freedom of Information Act) and e-Case software to new and existing customers in the U.S. and Canada. Passion for this important government function is a must! The task requires project management, systems engineering, solutions, deployment, management, and support of the SaaS applications.   
Location: Hybrid position, mandatory 2 days/week in our Washington, DC office   
Primary Responsibilities:   
  • Timely implementation of FOIAXpress and e-Case software following OPEXUS and Project Management International best practices for government customers.
  • Liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, marketing, and sales, to ensure products exceed customer expectations.
  • Deliver amazing customer experiences by working with customer success and support teams to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Communicate project status, progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, keeping everyone informed and aligned.
  • Create and manage project plan and schedule; ensure that all work products and deliverables are completed on-time, within budget, and meet project objectives.
  • Develop external and internal communications, project governance, artifact management, and technical change control.
  • Identify, document, communicate, manage, and coordinate the resolution of project risks in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with OPEXUS and agency system security resources to support update of security documentation and ensure security accreditation processes are followed.
  • Learn FOIAXpress and e-Case software and become subject matter expert to OPEXUS customers.
  • Provide technical leadership and management oversight of application management activities, ensuring resource optimization.
  • Identify areas of improvement and implement lessons learned.
Education:   
  • Bachelor’s degree required – IT, management, or Computer Science majors preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
 Minimum Qualifications:   
  • 5 years of Project Management experience successfully managing SaaS implementations and is familiar with COTS products.
  • Experience with federal government contracts required.
  • 3 years Salesforce experience required.
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-disciplined teams in Agile software development approach.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience with project management tools, e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA, or Trello.
  • NetSuite experience is strongly preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience with case management software required.
 Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:   
  • Experience preparing project plans, managing resources, monitoring performance, tracking budgets, and providing quality metrics reporting.
  • Knowledge of SaaS business models and best practices, with a focus on delivering value and driving growth.
  • Understanding of and has utilized the SDLC lifecycle for project implementations.
  • Strong customer management skills with experience leading customer meetings and preparing/delivering presentations.
  • Knowledge and experience with Federal Security Practices and Assessments.
  • Experience tracking and managing project resources, tasks, milestones, and deliverables using MS Project.
  • Results oriented mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Financial project accounting and forecasting skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent client-facing and teamwork skills.
  • Well organized and detail oriented with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
  • Proficiency in managing cross-functional teams.
 Security Clearance:   
  • US Citizenship required with ability to obtain security clearance.
