We’re looking for a Fullstack Engineer to join Paypal Shopping. This person will focus on the shopping destinations and stores across the Honey platform. You'll own a complete product feature area and develop an end to end solution that is deployed into our production system. You can expect to work with a cross disciplinary team including frontend engineers, backend engineers, quality assurance, data analysts , designers and product management to enhance existing product features and build new ones. Your contribution will help enhance the experience in which our users are notified about potential savings on relevant stores and merchants. Job Description: Job Description In your day-to-day role, you will: Design, develop, test, and release software using Java in a Linux/Unix environment. Work on multiple product features without guidance. Propose technical solutions for new and revised features based on an emerging understanding of the product and business domain. Manage individual project timelines, priorities, and delivery. Actively participate in design and code reviews. Handle inquiries from rewards platform stakeholders and respond to service interruptions as part of our support rotation What do you need to bring: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience. 3 years of software development experience with an object-oriented programming language comparable to Java, C , Python, C#, or Ruby. Knowledge of data structures, object-oriented design, algorithms, exception handling, and troubleshooting. Experience working with large-scale, highly available, and distributed systems. Experience developing automated unit, integration, and functional test suites. Experience writing SQL and implementing database design. A habit of continuous learning and motivation for self-improvement. Language requirement: Proficient (B2: Upper-Intermediate) in both written and spoken English.
