Scope & Objective:
The CNA/HHA will work closely with the Registered Nurse to perform the following duties (based on the Home Health Aide Assignment sheet).
Tasks/Duties & Job Responsibilities:
- Check patients' pulse, temperature and respiration.
- Practices and maintains patient safety and dignity by abiding by Federal, State, Local and Optimal policy & procedures as pertains to patient protected health information and HIPAA (Health Information Portability and Accountability Act).
- Direct patients in simple prescribed exercises and in the use of braces or artificial limbs.
- Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, and problems in order to report and discuss observations with a supervisor or case manager.
- Massage patients and apply preparations and treatments, such as liniment, alcohol rubs, and heat-lamp stimulation.
- Provide patients with help moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs or automobiles, and with dressing and grooming.
- Change bed linens, wash and iron patients' laundry, and clean patients' quarters.
- Entertain, converse with, or read aloud to patients to keep them mentally healthy and alert.
- Plan, prepare, and serve meals to patients, according to prescribed diets.
- Provide patients and families with emotional support and instruction in areas such as infant care, preparing healthy meals, independent living, and adaptation to disability or illness.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Must be currently licensed and in good standing in the state of Colorado.
- Must be able to communicate in the language of the client and document client related activity as appropriate.
- Possesses adequate and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess adequate and effective interpersonal skills.
- Preferably one year of experience as a CNA / CHHA
Salary : $21 - $25
