Position Description:
You will test powertrain control strategies in a hardware-in-the-loop and in-vehicle environment. The Core Vehicle Controls Software team is looking for an engineer to have the responsibility for validating propulsive controls. You will join a team, with the opportunity to restrengthen existing robust verification methods, support test execution, and demonstrate results through data analysis and reporting. What you will be able to do
Perform Software Validation testing, analysis, and reporting for production software on HIL and vehicle
Analyze test results and troubleshoot issues to determine root cause
Report issues using automated reporting systems such as JIRA
Skills Required:
1 years' experience in automotive embedded systems software
Understanding of testing methodologies and ability to utilize test equipment (multi meter, scope, logic analyzer, etc.)
Solid understanding of vehicle structure, subsystems, and components (GAS, HEV and BEV)
Understanding of Module Hardware/Software Architectures (PCM, HCM, TCM, BCM, Satellite processors - ABS, SJB...)
Skills Preferred:
Familiar with module emulators and interfaces (M5, M6, A7, A8, etk, xetk)
Tier II certification
Experience Required:
Experience with calibration methodologies and tools (ATI Vision and ETAS INCA) Experience with CAN networks and OBD systems and demonstrated ability to utilize related tools (CANalyzer, PTDiag, etc.)
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree
Education Preferred:
Master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science or related field
