Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Lead Residential Mentor to guide our mentorship team and oversee the daily support and development of our residents. The Lead Residential Mentor will play a critical role in shaping our residential environment, ensuring that it promotes growth, safety, and a sense of community among the residents.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a team of Residential Mentors, providing leadership, guidance, and training to ensure high-quality support for all residents.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the residential program, focusing on safety, effectiveness, and resident engagement.
• Serve as a primary mentor to residents, offering support, guidance, and encouragement in their personal and developmental goals.
• Coordinate and lead therapeutic group activities and workshops that foster skill development and community integration.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to create and maintain individualized care plans, ensuring a cohesive and holistic approach to mental health treatment.
• Monitor resident progress and mentor performance, providing feedback and adjustments to care plans as necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of interventions, resident progress, and program changes in compliance with regulatory requirements and OPI policies.
• Act as a point of contact for resident concerns, effectively managing crisis situations and escalating issues to appropriate clinical staff when necessary.
• Participate in recruitment, hiring, and training of new mentors, enhancing team capabilities and ensuring alignment with OPI's standards.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field required, Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a mental health, educational, or residential setting.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
