What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technician position at Optometric Management Group?
We are looking for a fast paced Technician, you will be expected to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. You will do the patients work up for the doctor. To be successful in this position, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Taking patients back to do preliminary testing for the doctor, cleaning doctors rooms once a patient is gone etc.
Skills
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
