Position Overview
As the Agile Coach you will be responsible for coaching and mentoring with the overall goal of organizational transformation to agility and should be comfortable working at all levels of the organization. You will serve as an evangelist and accelerator for adoption of the agile ways of working within the organization. As an expert in lean/agile practices you should also be proficient and knowledgeable in facilitation, mentoring, training, people management, and/or professional coaching. The Agile Coach's purview is as a servant leader to the organization.
Responsibilities
- Coach and mentor Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Agile teams and management to enhance agile/lean practices, release planning, Agile ceremonies, Kanban, test driven development, continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
- Assess scrum maturity of the organization, conduct assessments, and identify how individual scrum teams can increase their agile maturity level
- Teach agile techniques and concepts as needed to the larger organization
- Facilitate Scrum events and activities as necessary and ensure the team is realizing value from them (including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective and Backlog Refinement)
- Work with the Product Owner to define the product by identifying requirements and thinking critically about what will make it successful
- Work collaboratively with Enterprise development team, Technical lead and management to determine technical direction and priority of staff for the supporting systems
- Remove impediments that are preventing the team from accomplishing their goals. Help the team learn to identify dependencies, skill/knowledge gaps, and other impediments for their work
Skills/Knowledge
- Adept at time management and prioritization
- Demonstrated ability to influence change and resolve conflict at the leadership and team level.
- Familiarity with agile planning tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Deep understanding of SAFe and Agile with hands-on experience in Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and/or eXtreme Programing
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Must have working knowledge of Agile at Scale concepts such as SCRUM of SCRUMS, Agile Risk Management
Education/Experience
- Scrum Master Certification or SAFe Agilist is required
- PMI-ACP certification is a plus
- Experience in coaching at large organizations
- Five or more years of experience as a Agile Coach
Salary : $160,000 - $180,000
