Job Description:
Associate Creative Designer (On Site - Lancaster, SC)
Optomi, in partnership with an industry leader within veterinary sciences is seeking an Associate Creative Designer for their Lancaster, SC location! This Associate Creative Designer will work as part of a fun, fast-paced, and collaborative creative team. In addition to creating inspiring and innovative visual communication assets for print and digital applications, this individual will also assist in the creation of 3D packaging renderings (training to be provided) to use on a variety of platforms.

Experience of the right candidate:
- 0-3 years of graphic design experience
- Portfolio of design work
- Must possess and utilize knowledge of fundamental graphic design / typographical principles and commercial color printing methods
- Experience in pre-press production and layout using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator on the Macintosh platform
- Experience in design for digital applications a plus
- Experience using Esko Studio to create packaging renderings a plus
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Must be detail oriented
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a team environment under tight deadlines while accommodating last minute marketing needs
- Regular attendance required
- Responsibilities of the right candidate:
- Create graphic design for all divisional print and digital marketing needs including advertising, collateral, and packaging
- Create renderings of various packaging applications to be used in a wide variety of platforms, including ecommerce, digital and print marketing (training to be provided)
- Prepare pre-press production files for all print projects, according to printer specs, while adhering to fundamental graphic design / typographical principles
- Work with outside vendors, including photographers, printers and display houses
- Archive marketing projects on appropriate storage drives
- Ability to brainstorm with members of the Graphic Design / Marketing team
- Stay abreast of digital technology and design trends in the graphic arts industry
- Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment.
- Perform other assigned duties as may be required in meeting company objectives
