IT Business Analyst (Infrastructure, Azure DevOps)
Hybrid 2-3 days a week onsite in Kansas City, Missouri!
Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the insurance industry, is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the team in Kansas City, Missouri! The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment with experience in the infrastructure space and a strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps. The IT Business Analyst should have a strong business acumen with the ability to communicate cross-functionally between business and technical teams, with a foundation in both waterfall and agile methodologies. Experience of the right candidate:
- Develops business requirements for multiple business functions, understands how those functions interact, and what the enterprise solution(s) could do to support those business needs.
- Evaluates and performs process analysis relative to needs to ensure end-to-end information flow and required new processes.
- Develops and documents user stories and/or functional requirements that describe feature and function needs, and user interfaces for the functional area.
- Plans and performs functional testing of applications, including test script creation and management.
- Plans, coordinates, and oversees UAT exercises.
- Knows and understands Project Methodology processes and deliverables, including the development life cycle and change control processes.
- Creates business/system documentation including process maps, user guides, GUI mockups.
Responsibilities of the right candidate:
- BS/BA degree required.
- 5 years of relevant work experience required.
- Speak the language of stakeholders and translate that vision into detailed business requirements and user stories.
- Familiar with agile development methodology, including use case scenarios, user stories, backlog management.
- Strong discovery, critical thinking, time management, initiative, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in articulating and documenting user requirements.
- Experience in planning and performing functional testing.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
- Experience with project and collaborations tools such as MS Teams, Azure DevOps (ADO), Webex, and Miro.
- Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and written.
- Some off-shift hours and travel may be required.
- Provides exceptional customer service and adheres to the organization's philosophies.
- Understands when circumstances require persuasion, conciliation, assertiveness, or other approaches and reacts appropriately.
Salary : $55 - $60
