For over 40 years, OPTP has been a leading catalog and eCommerce company of fitness and rehab products. This well-respected company is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to take ownership of advertising and sales via Amazon and other third-party marketplaces, primarily Walmart, Target and eBay. This individual will lead a small team to monitor, analyze, optimize and report on Amazon and marketplace performance. They will identify areas of opportunity for organic and paid sales growth and strategize and propose plans for/lead the implementation of new digital marketing efforts. They will also identify and promptly react to eCommerce related issues and audit all digital processes, order workflow and logistics for inefficiencies. The candidate for this role possesses a deep understanding of B2B and B2C eCommerce sales and operation and must be able to think strategically and also perform day to day account management.
Responsibilities
- Amazon and Other 3P Marketplaces
- Create detailed reporting and analysis of performance to drive sales, monitor for issues and identify opportunities
- Manage, optimize, expand and report on a portfolio of 40 sponsored product, brand, display, and video ad campaigns across Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Target and Google
- With the help of a small team, manage a catalog of 250 unique SKUs across marketplaces to maintain and optimize product listings based on current best practices
- Quickly identify and promptly react to marketplace issues, e.g. suspended or suppressed listings, unwanted attribute changes, inventory issues, copyright/trademark/patent infringement, and incorrect fee changes
- Track product costs and marketplace fees/expenses for accurate visibility into profitability on the SKU and marketplace levels and set pricing in accordance with retail goals
- Collaborate with marketing team to populate listings with optimized written content and supporting visuals
- Develop actionable insights that help OPTP stay ahead of the trends across all marketplaces
- Optimize marketplace logistics, e.g. FBA and WFS inventory flow, marketplace shipping options, 3PLs, FBA domestic and international inbound freight
- Create policies to enhance user experience at all touchpoints, with an emphasis of customer service
- Continuously seek out and identify marketplace opportunities to drive sales, and oversee the onboarding and integration of new marketplaces with our e-commerce software
- Research competitive landscape and barriers to entry for international markets of interest, e.g. compliance/regulation and certification requirements, tax and duties obligations, and freight options and costs
- Strategize and implement a plan to cultivate government sales via the GSA platform, ensuring contract minimums are met
Additional Duties
- Track and assign tasks to supporting staff using project management software
- Work with third-party web, software and IT providers to troubleshoot and correct issues affecting ecommerce
- Take an active role in website integrations and improvements, ultimately leading to the transition to a new ecommerce site
- Some travel may be required for industry tradeshows
- Work with warehouse staff to make accommodations for marketplace shipping requirements
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Information Technology or related field.
- 5 years’ eCommerce experience within a consumer goods company.
- 3 years’ leadership or people management experience, including developing talent
- Knowledge of the latest Ecommerce technologies and trends.
- Strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and demands of the business.
- Strong analytical skills and data driven thinker.
