Position Description

This position is an administrative position in which the bookkeeper handles various accounting, finance, and billing details for residential, multifamily, and commercial real estate.


Roles and Responsibilities as Housekeeper:

  • Monitoring closing processes, billing, invoicing, expenses, reimbursements, and payroll administration
  • Maximizing returns on excess cash balances and improving closing and reporting cycles
  • Evaluating and enhancing financial controls and tax return procedures
  • Coordinating and recording investments and maintaining fixed asset records
  • Overseeing financial and accounting staff and analyzing profit center performance metrics
  • Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts and statements to understand the financial state of business
  • Driving the company's financial planning. Performing risk management by analyzing the organization's outstanding receivables and payables
  • Anticipate opportunities and challenges, generate ideas, strategies, and solutions to improve results
  • Documenting processes and ensuring compliance with financial management and accounting regulations
  • Provide recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities strategically
  • Ensure that adequate internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and financial and tax reporting rules


Metrics

  • Consistent, timely, and accurate reporting
  • Leadership: The accounting bookkeeper must be able to use their leadership to keep financial departments focused on goals.
  • Operating metrics: Accounts payable and receivable turnover, return on equity, and debt to equity must be aligned with company standards and budget expectations.
  • Relationships with external constituencies: The accounting bookkeeper should engage with and maintain positive relationships with our bank, our investors, and our stakeholders.
