Responsibilities
Oracle Cerner is currently seeking a PRN Medical Assistant for our on-site health center for a large, local employer in Crystal Lake, IL. As a PRN Medical Assistant, you will be expected to provide outstanding clinical care by executing administrative and clinical tasks on an as-needed basis in a team environment. Your main responsibilities will be to treat acute and chronic disease management and promote wellness and illness prevention through direct member care for all ages as directed by a provider. You will also take member vitals, input member symptoms into an electronic medical record, collect laboratory specimens, and administer immunization/shots. Medical Assistants also communicate medical knowledge in lay-person terms to enhance patient education and understanding of acute, chronic, and progressive disease processes; prepare equipment, members, and providers for office-based procedures and testing; and schedule follow-up appointments, referrals, and diagnostic testing and obtain member records to ensure the continuity of care. Finally, you will follow established policies and procedures to work in a clinic environment involving possible exposure to potentially hazardous materials and situations that require safety precautions and may include the use of personnel protective equipment.
As a PRN Medical Assistant, you may also be asked to prepare and room patients, perform inventory and order supplies, administer immunizations/shots, and perform various administrative tasks. Basic Qualifications
- 2 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
- 1-year direct patient or member care work experience
- 1-year additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education
- Certified as a Medical Assistant or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of work experience in a Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Primary Care or Urgent Care health center setting
- Basic Cardiovascular Life Support Certification

California Pay Range: from $16.11 to $30.53 per hour; from $33,500 to $63,500 per annum.
Colorado Pay Range: from $15.24 to $27.50 per hour; from $31,700 to $57,200 per annum.
New York City Pay Range: from $15.24 to $28.99 per hour; from $31,700 to $60,300 per annum.
Washington Pay Range: from $17.02 to $28.99 per hour; from $35,400 to $60,300 per annum.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
