We are the developer experience team. Our mission is to give our customers the best-in-class tools and services to build and manage their Oracle cloud infrastructure. We are continuously building new features and products. We are building Dashboards, internal tools to improve our customer experience. This is an exciting project with design, architecture, development and operations opportunities. Broadly, we are looking for hands-on engineers with expertise and passion in building the back end, front end and tools for our public cloud infrastructure.As Principal Software Engineer, you will work with a team of software engineers responsible for the software design, development and operations for our new and existing products. You should be able to architect broad systems interactions, be hands-on, be able to dive deep into any part of the stack, and have a good sense of developer experience. You should value simplicity and impact, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.

Strong experience in distributed systems with keen eye on reliability, scalability and performance are what we look in our candidates to succeed in this role. Our senior engineers are also the people who can work independently and provide technical leadership to the organization. You should have experience developing and operating high-scale services, and understanding of how to make these cloud-scale services resilient. The ideal candidate will be technically strong and productive; someone who knows how to balance speed and quality with iterative and incremental improvements. You understand operational excellence and know how to infuse a culture of being proactive within your team. You recommend and justify major changes to existing products and establish consensus with data-driven approaches.Basic Qualifications: - 6 years of experience with full-stack development experience- Proficient at high level programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, etc.- Ability to deliver products from the ground up going through a product life cycle- Experienced with micro service design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols along with developing highly reliable services.- Bachelors in Computer Science and engineering or related engineering fields Preferred Qualifications: - Prior development experience with Eclipse or Intellij.- Prior Hands-on experience developing cloud services and tools on Oracle Cloud/AWS/GCP/Azure - Experience with Javascript/Typescript programming language.- Masters / Bachelors degree in Computer Science
