ORAU has a job opportunity for a Scientist/Cryo-Electron Tomography. This position will support of the overall functions of the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, NIH. The position is contingent on award of an upcoming contract with SOARS, Scientific, Operations,and Administrative Resources, NIH. Salary for positions will be determined based on education and experience. Relocation support is not available for this position.

Responsibilities
Perform semi-independent research using cellular biology methods and cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET) to study the structure of actin-basedsensory stereocilia and the molecular complexes associated with their mechanotransduction.
- Program and use computers to store, process, and analyze data.
- Monitor operational procedures in technical environments to ensure conformance to standards.
- Interpret research or operational data.
- Operate laboratory equipment to analyze samples.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Structural Biology or a related discipline.
- Process, analyze, and segment cryo-ET data and generate molecular models.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data; update and maintain laboratory notebooks and data-bases. - Design and carry out experiments. - Identify and review literature pertinent to projects.
