Orchard Point Kennels is a family business based out of Eugene Oregon. We provide daycare, boarding, training, and more! Our roots are in dog rescue, which is still being ran today. OPK was an idea that sparked into a full fledged business, providing expert dog services from seasoned professionals. With a focus on offering the same love & care we adopted working in rescue, and applying it to the guests that come & stay. Our end goal is to become the ultimate dog care camp, offering exciting activities, services, and events for dogs to attend and enjoy everyday.

Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role, with room to grow into a full-time position. As a Team Member at Orchard Point Kennels, you will be responsible for daily tasks related to customer service, animal care, and facility maintenance. Your role will involve interacting with customers, feeding and exercising animals, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the kennel facilities. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for animal welfare are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience working with dogs is preferred
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Physical fitness and ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments
• Reliability and punctuality
• Ability to lift up to 100lbs
• Ownership of a smartphone
• Access to reliable transportation
• Willingness to learn kennel software

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating a smartphone camera, preferably an Apple product
• Grooming skills with measurable experience and or references

Working Environment

When working with dogs expect:

• Dog food

All to enter your personal space. Our team is there to support you through the crazy times, and the chill ones. We love working together to come up with creative solutions to improve. Along with having fun ensuring our team & guests are having a great time. Despite all the potential dirtiness.

Working Hours

We are looking for someone who is willing to work:

• Mornings: starting at 7am
• Evenings: ending at 9pm
• Weekends: both Saturday & Sunday

Dependent on your schedule, we'll attempt to best align your needs with ours. Minimum 15 hours per week.
