JOB SUMMARY: The EANS Assistant Teacher works half-time as a Lower School classroom assistant and half-time as a teacher in the after-school program. They work actively with assigned students providing instruction or supervision of educational activities. Assistant teachers work as part of a team that maintains program quality and standards in accordance with OES policies and Oregon Office of Child Care regulations. The successful assistant teacher will be culturally competent, have a passion for working with elementary aged students, will be open to learning from teachers and administrators, and will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, and an upbeat, collaborative, inclusive spirit. Reports directly to the Lower School division head and the director of after-school programs. Starts August 21.
